En el ultimo paseo por IKEA, observamos a las silla flotantes. Las sillas flotantes de Krokvik tiene sostenedores debajo de la mesa que permite a la misma sostenerse en el aire, facilitando de esta forma, una limpieza mucho mas fácil y ágil. Muy buena idea además para espacios pequeños.

On a recent trip to IKEA, we almost walked right by this ingenious product because we didn’t see it. What we did notice, however, was the floating chairs. Krokvik chair hangers are brackets which mount to the underside of your table to make floor cleaning easier. They’re practical for anyone with lightweight chairs and a dirty floor but they’re a particularly big idea for small spaces.

GlobalShop es el evento anual más grande del mundo relacionado al diseño comercial puestos de ventos. Este año le toco  a Chicago se anfitirón de este importantisimo evento. Aqui se puede ver algunos de los mejores stands que tuve la suerte de ver en el día de ayer.

¿Por qué ceñir el universo de los paneles LCD a la privacidad del hogar? Estos dispositivos merecen un trato democrático y así es como además del salón ahora también pueden ubicarse en espacios públicos como estaciones de trenes o tiendas comerciales.

Eso sucede al menos con este panel LCD de Mediamast. A diferencia de la mayoría, no ha sido diseñado para ubicarse sobre una mesa o bien colgado en la pared sino que permanece montado en su poste y es posible ajustarlo de forma indiscriminada hasta logar el mejor ángulo de visión. Además, se trata de un panel táctil que permitirá a los usuarios interactuar en forma directa para recibir la información adecuada de acuerdo a sus interrogantes. Viene con una carcasa protectora de acero inoxidable y se ofrece en tamaños de 17 y 19 pulgadas.

Ideal para los niños o para personas de baja estatura, que viven en el reinado de los altos y pocas veces logran acceder a la información.

The latest ict development is the “ict MediaMast“, a terminal mast with a height adjustable, touch-sensitive LC display. Due to its purist, high-grade design, the ict MediaMast can be integrated in almost every environment (height 210 cm, width 14 cm, depth 16 cm, base 50 cm).

With a steel sheet housing (colour RAL 9006) and precision mechanics inside, the terminal mast offers stability and sturdiness at the same time. A 17” or 19” LCD can be moved vertically along an approximately 72 cm long mechanical setting range so that it can be adapted to the required height for the user. The display is then automatically fixed at the required height until it needs to be adjusted again.

If desired the ict MediaMast is also available in other RAL colours or in stainless steel. In addition, speakers can be integrated individually, and an electrically adjustable display can be realized. If desired, different base forms can be delivered; even a direct wall mount without a base is possible.

El Motorola Sparrow RFID, concebido para resolver el problema de los puestos de venta, combina un scanner, un puesto de venta, un dispositivo de comunicación y un lector de tarjeta de crédito en un dispositivo menor al tamaño de la mano. Este dispositivo, los llevarían los consumidores mientras hacen compras, permitiendo al cliente poder conseguir información sobre los productos de interés, poder recibir promociones inmediatas basadas en su comportamiento de compras, y poder hacer compras donde quiera en el almacén al mismo tiempo. Aliviando la necesidad de cajeros, cupones y los tickets del servicio al cliente.

The Motorola Sparrow RFID, conceived for the problem of retail point-of-purchase pileup, combines a scanner, point-of-sale system, communication device, and credit card reader into one mobile hand held object. This device, which consumers would carry around with them while they shop allowing customers to get information about products of interest, receive instant promotions based on their shopping behavior, and make purchases anywhere in the store, in real time. Alleviating the need for checkout lines, paper coupons and customer service reps, an achievement already realized by devices currently in use but controlled by retailers, will be enhanced by shoppers’ access to detailed information.

El theANEMIX es un concepto inspirado en bioluminescence, un fenómeno natural de la iluminación que ocurra en la profundidad del mar, donde un ciertas especies producen la luz para sobrevivir en el ambiente lightless y hostil. Creado por dos diseñadores jóvenes Ximena Muñoz y Paulina Villalobos, theAnemix de la iluminaciónel diseño crea una atmósfera unmistakably amorfa de la iluminación. Puede ser uso en usos ilimitados de las oficinas, residenciales, y probablemente lo más aplicable posible del ambiente del club. Y el discurso del ambiente, estas instalaciones de iluminación tiene efectos muy bajos en el ambiente con el uso de los LED.

El theANEMIX is a lighting concept inspired in bioluminescence, a natural phenomenon which takes place in the sea depth, where some species produce light in order to survive in the lightless and hostile environment. Created by two young lighting designers Ximena Muñoz and Paulina Villalobos, theAnemix design creates an unmistakably amorphous lighting atmosphere. It can be use in limitless applications from offices, residential, and probably most applicably the club environment. And speaking of environment, these lighting installations have very low effects on the environment through use of LEDs.
